At Chapelle, we encourage creativity and vision and want to help publish and promote those who possess it. We are always searching for new artists and authors who are seeking the opportunity of becoming published. We are not looking for individual projects to be submitted for inclusion in a book, but for a talented artist, home decorator, or gardener, with a specific field of expertise, to submit an idea for a book. Each published book will include a specific number of projects, complete with step-by-step instructions supplied by the artist. The editing, proofing, photography, layout, and book design will be the responsibility of Chapelle's team of experts.
If you feel you fit this profile and would like to submit your innovative and original idea, we would love to hear it. All you need to do is fill out the submission form, including 1-2 paragraphs explaining the topic of the book and why it should be published. Also include the table of contents you envision in your publication.
In addition, please enclose two (2) photographs (transparencies, Polaroids, or 35 mm prints or negatives) each of a completed project that would be included in the book. Please mark your name on each photograph. These photographs will not be returned.
We will contact you within 4-6 weeks, from receipt of materials, to let you know the status of your submission.
Being published is a very exciting opportunity that gives an artist not only a hardbound publication, but more. If your proposal is accepted and a contract is entered into, Chapelle will pay you a guaranteed advance against royalties. Once the book is published, royalties will be paid quarterly. You will also be given the option to buy your book at a discounted price.
