This is a time in which most of us sincerely believe that we are too busy for anything extra. Too busy for the little acts of thoughtfulness; too rushed to take the time to find that one small gift that is unusual or one-of-a-kind; too overwhelmed to perform those small gestures which are the little something extra and allows us to express our love, our hospitality, and our sincere appreciation for those we love,...whether they live with us or just come to visit and maybe stay for a day or two. What is it about these "extraordinary touches for the ordinary days" that makes us feel special, comfortable, and at home? Why do such special touches immediately convey a myriad of sentiments? Perhaps, it is because such thoughtful touches or tiny treasures invariably bear the stamp of the individual heart and hand that created and gave them away.
